Kinship Circle believes all beings possess the right to exist in their natural environment and express behaviors significant to their kind. When animals are viewed as "things for human use," and thus denied the primary protections humans enjoy, they are victims of speciesism, a discriminatory benchmark similar to race, religion, gender, sexual preference or age. Kinship Circle is a 501c3 nonprofit organization serving the animal advocacy community. We empower people to communicate (speak, write, present) influentially to lawmakers, businesses, media and other decision-makers. Our core strengths are RESEARCH, WRITING, and GRAPHIC DESIGN utilized in action campaigns, literature, and other advocacy materials. We INFORM and MOTIVATE activists to take part in weekly action for animals. |

KINSHIP CIRCLE PRIMARY empowers people to communicate (speak, write, present) influentially to lawmakers, businesses, media and other decision-makers associated with animal cruelty and protection concerns. Use our activist tools:
Our network of independently trained responders is activated in disasters to send volunteers, supplies, and resources for animal victims. We may work under agreement to directly deploy volunteers, as done for Iowa's Veterinary Response Team during the 2008 Iowa floods. Or we may manage volunteers for another group on the ground, as done for 2008 Hurricanes Ike and Gustav. In the aftermath of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, Kinship Circle united with Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF/Mobile, AL) under the banner Grassroots Effort for Animals of the Storm, mobilizing volunteers/supplies to nearly 80 relief missions in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Texas. We were among the founding coordinators of Animal Rescue New Orleans (ARNO) — for which KC's Brenda Shoss served as food/water assignments director, working with ground director Cadi Schiffer to cover 650 sq. miles with 2,800 food/water stations across Orleans, Plaquemines and St. Bernard Parishes.
