Hopeful Haven Equine Rescue Organization is a 501c3 nonprofit serving Erath and Henry regions of Vermillion Parish.

Horses can swim a mile. Cows (who knew?), five miles. But neither could outpace a hurricane surge 28 miles inland. Pastures were ravaged. Areas became watery graves. Hopeful Haven Equine Rescue provides hay and feed to keep animals alive. Winter rain and spring renewal may freshen salty grasses. For now, help is needed. All hay was destroyed in floods.

HHERO Convoy Schedule
January 20, February 3, February 17, *March 3*

Convoys generally leave on Friday afternoon. Call Debra Barlow for departure time and more details: 318-286-3116

*March 3* convoy will stay over Friday night, distribute feed Saturday morning, and head back after lunch. Sleeping arrangements are available. Bring sleeping bags if joining the convoy as a group of people.

Convoys leave from Shreveport, LA. Take I-49 South to Lafayette. Take 339 to Erath, LA. You may join convoy in Shreveport, or meet us in Lafayette.

Join HHERO Convoys

1. Register your contact information with Debra Barlow. State the convoy date you can join and number of people with you.


2. Send list of supplies you can bring, with each donor's name/address.


3. Please reply to Debra directly, not Kinship Circle. She can give you details about travel, location and what you'll do for the animals.
